The West has landscapes and attractions analogous to the traditional circles offered in the South of Iceland, where most visitors in Iceland go on tours. If you want to see something different and still be awed by Icelandic nature - visiting the West is where you should go!

During your trip around the West, you have the opportunity to see impressive waterfalls, the highest-flowing hot spring in Europe, lava fields, and other beautiful Icelandic phenomena.

 

You get the opportunity to visit a man-made ice cave, explore one of the largest caves in the world, see the Northern Lights in the winter, and take easy hikes. In the West, you will also rest in beautiful geothermal spas and enjoy some local dining.

 

The West has deep historical roots, and you can visit the home of legendary Snorri Sturluson, who narrates Norse Mythology in the famous ancient texts of Snorra-Edda. Furthermore, you can visit the birthplace of and learn about one of the most notorious characters in the Icelandic Sagas: Egill Skalla-Grímsson.

 

Last but definitely not least, you will spend some time relaxing on our farm, where you have the opportunity to cuddle our sheep (and lambs in the spring) and practice mindfulness with our horses in the backyard.
